Room 31st - Sala del Veronese (surname of Paolo Cagliari, 1528-1588)
It hosts: the “Martirio di S. Giustina”; the “Sacra Famiglia con S. Barbara e S. Giovannino”; “La Madonna in Trono tra santo e donatori”; the “Visitazione”; the “Annunciazione”; “S. Agata Incoronata dagli angeli”and “Ester condotta da Assuero”.
Room 32nd - Sala del Bassano e del Tintoretto
This room houses several paintings by the most celebrated artists of the Venetian school from the second half of the 16th century.
It houses: the outstanding canvas by Jacopo Bassano: “I due cani” and by the same painter: the “Salita al Calvario”, “Giuda e Tamar” and “Chira alla ricerca di Tamar”.
By Tintoretto (surname of Jacopo Robusti): “Leda e il cigno”, “La Samaritana al pozzo”, “Cristo al pozzo della Samaritana”, “Adamo ed Eva cacciati dal Paradiso Terrestre” and the portraits called: “Ritratto di Gentiloumo”, Ritratto di ammiraglio veneziano”, “Ritratto di uomo dai capelli rossi” and “Ritratto di Jacopo Sansovino”.
By Paris Bordon, from the same school and period, the room exhibits his famous portrait: “Ritratto di uomo con Pellicia”.
Room 33rd - Corridoio del Cinquecento
In this large corridor are represented several Italian and foreign painters from the 16th century.
Among them the most celebrated are: Giorgio Vasari with “L’Adorazione dei pastori”, “La Fucina di Vulcano” and “Artemisa piange Mausolo”. Il Bronzino with “ Cristo deposto” and “L’Allegoria della Felicità”. Jacopo Zucchi with “L’Età del ferro”, “L’età dell’argento”and “L’Età dell’oro”. Alessandro Allori with “Venre e Amore”, the “Ritratto di Bianca Cappello” and “S. Pietro Cammina sulle Acque”. Andrea Boscoli with “Piramo e Tisbe” and “S. Sebastiano”. Jacopo Liggozzi with “Il Sacrificio di Isacco”. Santi di Tito with the “Madonna col Bambino e santi”. El Greco (surname of Doménikos Theotokópoulos) with “I Santi Giovanni Evangelista e Francesco”. Luis de Morales with “Cristo portacroce”. Alonso Sánchez Coello with the “Ritratto di Elisabetta di Valois”. Francis Clouet with the “Ritratto di Francesco I di Francia” and Joachim Beuckelaer with “Pilato mostra Gesú al Popolo”.
Room 34th - Sala dei Lombardi
This room hosts several paintings from different artists of the Lombard school from the first period of the Counter Reformation.
Between them the most renowned are: Girolamo Figino, the pioneer of the Counter Reformation artistic culture in Italy, with the outstanding altarpiece “Madonna col Bambino e S. Margherita e Maria Maddalena”. Lorenzo Lotto with the tiny portrait “Testa di fanciullo” and the altarpiece “La Sacra Famiglia e santi”. Giovanni Girolamo Savoldo with the “Trasfigurazione” and Giovan Battista Moroni with his famous portrait “Il Conte Pietro Secco Suardo”.
Room 35th - Sala del Barocci e della Controriforma Toscana
Besides the two canvases by the well-known artist from Urbino, Federico Barocci, the “Madonna della gatta” and the “Madonna del Popolo”, this rooms houses several paintings created by Tuscan masters from the period of the Counter Reformation, like: “Beni scripsisti de me, Thoma” by Santi di Tito; the “Assunzione della Vergine” by Lodovico Buti; “Cristo Morto e pianto da Maria e dagli Angeli” by Alessandro Allori; “San Luca che dipinge Maria” by Domenico Passignano; “S. Francesco rivece le stigmate” and the “Martirio di S. Barbara” by Il Cigoli (surname of Lodovico Cardi) and “Cristo nella casa di Marta e Maria” by Gregorio Pagani.
