Choccolandia 2009,

The weekend of 14-15 February will take place in Livorno "Choccolandia 2009" a sweet and delicious meeting devoted entirely to chocolate lovers. The famous "black gold" from which the Maya 6000 years ago extracted drinks for their gods, will be the undisputed protagonist of this event, which in 2009 celebrates its fifth anniversary.

Five years offering delicious moments to chocolate lovers who have found a very sweet reason to travel to Livorno and enjoy this special meeting perfect for all ages. The most famous master pastry chefs and chocolatiers from all regions of Italy, will offer visitors the most delicious sweets and specialties, all with the same common denominator - chocolate - in its infinite variations and forms.

Along with the more traditional sweets, they will show the new trends in terms of ingredients and presentation of the product. The innumerable forms, aromas and flavors of chocolate will be a feast for the senses, and certainly they will satisfy the sweet wishes of those who will be enjoying Choccolandia. In addition to tasting it will be able to see directly the process of cocoa elaboration, therefore it will be possible participating in the courses offered by pastry chefs and sommeliers that will explain the interesting combinations of chocolate with all kind of foods and also with the appropriate wines.

Choccolandia is a perfect opportunity to go deeply into the culture of chocolate, not just in relation to its culinary uses but also regarding health and aesthetics. In this exhibition visitors will fall rendered to the seductive power of this sweet. Visitors will also find in the fair the "Ciocco Beauty Farm" where chocolate is used for a wide variety of beauty treatments. The fair is held from 10 to 20:00 h. 14th. and15th.
